Premier League stars to watch at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia

Premier League stars to watch at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia The just ended Premier League season was one of the best in recent memory. At the top, Manchester City broke all sorts of records in their impressive march to the Premier League title becoming the first Premier League team to reach the 100 point mark. Apart from Manchester City, we saw Liverpool provide us with the league’s most prolific scorer since the new era of the Premier League; Mo Salah was simply phenomenal as he scored 32 Premier League goals, more than any other player including Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez. Fans, however, don’t have to wait for much longer before they can see some of the Premier League stars on the field once again as most of them will be representing their countries at the World Cup in Russia. Punters can pick who they think will leave the biggest impression and scoop the Player of the Tournament award by tipping them and placing their bets at NetBet. Mo Salah (Liverpool & Egypt) Starting with the man who set the Premier League alight, Mo Salah will once again be hoping that his goals help propel his country, Egypt to World Cup success come July. It will be a little difficult for Salah to replicate what he did with Liverpool as he may not have the same quality players around with his country in comparison to his Liverpool’s teammates. However, his eye for goal makes him a dangerous proponent for any defence, therefore, he is likely to cause some damage. Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City & Belgium) The man who kept Manchester City ticking all season is none other than Kevin de Bruyne. De Bruyne this time will be clad in the colours of his national team but the hope among fans is that the change of shirt colours is not going to affect the performance of de Bruyne at the coming World Cup finale. With a defence which includes club teammate Vincent Kompany and Tottenham duo of Toby Alderwereild and Jan Vertonghen and a forward line of Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku, de Bruyne will have the room to roam around the whole field of play creating chances from both deep and high up the field. De Bruyne is certainly one to watch out for at the World Cup. Eden Hazard (Chelsea & Belgium) Another Belgian expected to show his worth in Russia is Chelsea’s talisman Eden Hazard. Hazard’s team had mixed fortunes in the Premier League this season missing out on the chance to play Champions League football. They compensated for that, however, with an FA Cup triumph against Manchester United recently. Arguably Hazard was Chelsea’s best player of the season and buoyed by the recent FA Cup victory, much is expected from Hazard. Something that’s not usually said in international football is that Hazard is going to feature in an arguably better Belgian team than his club, therefore, he will likely have more...
